Jane: Abortion and the Underground
This gritty and courageous true story of several Chicago women,
mostly housewives and students, who helped direct and eventually perform,
safe and affordable, yet illegal abortions between 1969 and 1973.
This cast does an amazing job of piecing together
many tight scenes; which look into the world Jane,
depicting the organization’s humble beginnings, many growing pains
and ultmately, the end of the Jane service, with the Roe v. Wade decision.
