Bunny Wailer • Liberation

filed under: album covers — christopher @ 23:59 Sun

On this day, April 10, 1947, Neville O’Reilly Livingston
was born in Kingston, Jamaica.
As one of the founding members of The Wailers,
I feel that everyone on Earth should give thanks for all of their
creativity and inspiration that’s been enjoyed and applied.
Whether it Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Earl Lindo,
Aston Barrett, Carlton Barrett, Joe Higgs, Lee Perry, Bernard Harvey,
Tyrone Downie, Alvin Patterson, Junior Marvin, Al Anderson,
Donald Kinsey, Earl Smith, Clement Dodd, Rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths or Judy Mowatt,
One of The Wailer’s Family certainly made your world a better place.

My apologies to all of whom are not on this list and who should be.

:UPDATE:
I have recently heard rumors – that on Bunny’s latest tour
he made horrible comments in regards to homosexuals.
I very saddened by this news, and hope they are miscontextualized.

  1. And while there is also murder, deception, greed, and conspiracy involved
with “The Wailers,” right now, I can only think of the music………….

  2. I also read an article that said Bunny got booed off the stage in Jamaica in 1994
during a dancehall concert with objects being thrown at him.

WHAT? What is wrong with people? How could Bunny Wailer get booed
off the stage in Jamaica? That almost seems like a sign of the apocalypse.

  3. That’s not a sign of the Apocolypse, that is the Apocolypse.

Bunny is the most high I. I’ve seen him perform in CO a few times and the fortunate souls in attendance got their wickedness melted. At least for the day.

  4. Very fortunate indeed you were David, as Bunny does not like the “Iron Bird,”
That being the reason for his brief touring with the Wailers in the early 1970’s.
